Bowral Public School Markets

8/5/2010

Today we went to Bowral Public School Markets.  We discovered Autumn is extremely cold in Bowral.  When we arrived at 6am it was 0 degrees.  My girls were very thankful I had packed their hats with side flaps for ears.  All of a sudden they did not care about how they looked.........funny that, all the laughing and complaining when I had presented them with their hats some weeks ago and now they discover (yet again) mum was right......I love being a mum on these occasions he he he he he.

I have to thank the beautiful Bowral people again for a wonderful day.  Despite the cool weather and the gas shortage in the Southern Highlands, the people still came out and supported their Local Markets.

Quirky Pieces always has a terrific time when we visit beautiful Bowral.  Apart from the incredibly cold morning start, the sun came out and so did the friendly Bowral people.  The Market seems to grow every month with new and unusual stalls joining in.  We met many Sydney families who had come down for day and were having a great time.  Thanks to all the lovely friendly Bowral people for making our day at the Markets a great day!

What a day.  Lots of entertainment and activities.  Quirky Pieces had a wonderful stall site and had many, many beautiful visitors.  Thank-you to all of my loyal customers who follow me to all of the Markets and Festivals I attend.  Thank-you to the Lions Club for organizing such a big and well organized event.

What a beautiful place Bowral is!  We had a terrific site and set up our stall beautifully...then...the rain came down.  It rained and rained and rained, although we have a great day despite packing up a little early and returning home wet.  I highly recommend a visit to the Bowral School Markets.  There was such a huge variety of fresh organic produce and many wonderful stalls, selling anything from vintage-ware through to eccentric items and homemade wares.

Well what a great day we had.  The weather held out for the late Christmas shoppers and there was a real Christmas atmosphere in the air.  This was our last market for 2009.

Sutton Forrest Christmas Market 2009 - 2 Day Market

Sutton Forest Winery Christmas Fair

5th & 6th December 2009

Well, what a fantastic weekend we had at the Southern Highlands Christmas Country Fair.   We traded at the Markets for two days (Saturday and Sunday).   We met the most delightful people - many of which were crazy characters.   The atmosphere at the Sutton Forest Winery (where the fair was held) was amazing.   Many wonderful stalls selling the most unusual and unique products, I highly recommend a visit next year.   We were very busy and on our return have been full-filling web-site orders. Thank you to all my wonderful customers and may you all have a peaceful and joyous Christmas and New Year.
